Honda is pulling the rest desu replacement for the Acura NSX supercar, confirming it is to be powered by a new V10 engine and as explained will be faster than Nissan GT-R. Just goes on sale under the Acura brand, the new model is expected to leave in 2010 with availability in the market for model year 2011.

Acura says its new NSX is truly "extreme" and that the final image should be that of a high-performance car and luxury. Steadfast in this approach with the NSX's V10 engine, Acura many executives put into question, as sr. Koichi Kondo, Vice-president highlighted during a recent interview with Automotive News.

Kondo also told reporters that the car will not only have a price higher than the Nissan GT-R, but will have better performance. The new NSX will be a low volume model, with expected sales of only 1,000 units per year in the U.S. market.

In an earlier interview, from Honda insists that the NSX will not sell any car because they want to prevent the disappearance of high-performance automobile, luxury image. This includes the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, China and soon, the Russian Federation, however it leaves out other major markets such as Australia, the United Kingdom and most other European countries.
